MetoMotion brings state-of-the-art technology into the greenhouse, making use of latest Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based computing for 3D perception. Specially designed, flexible motion control and path-planning algorithms give the robot precise motion between plants and a unique design that fits the modern greenhouse environment.

FEATURES

Dual robotic arms for bidirectional harvesting
The dual robotic arms give GRoW the ability to harvest both sides of the greenhouse row, making robotic harvesting quicker than ever before and taking a significant step forward when compared to manual harvesting.
Autonomous guided vehicle with special drive system allows easy maneuvering between rows
Several GRoW robots can operate simultaneously. The robots move forward along a row detecting, harvesting, and packing, thereby freeing up workers for other necessary tasks.
Data collection and analysis software
The MetoMotion platform automatically collects valuable information during harvesting – and on demand. Data is synchronized to the cloud in real time to give growers improved crop management with yield forecasts and yield distribution analyses. Researchers can monitor varieties, track plant stress, and read feedback from greenhouse sensors.
Onboard boxing system
The robot can pack the crops into standard industry boxes for easy and seamless integration with existing production protocols.
Advanced 3D vision system
With its 3D vision capabilities, GRoW captures in-depth, high-resolution color photos for successful harvesting and provides substantial crop data for further crop analysis.
PRODUCT SCALABILITY
MetoMotion’s technology and building blocks can be scaled to a large number of solutions that will change modern farming. GRoW’s building blocks can be easily adapted to perform various tasks such as harvesting cucumbers, eggplant, and peppers; removing leaves (de-leafing),pruning and data analytics. The company’s road map is to scale the technology to create set of solutions that will transform modern horticulture to be more efficient, accurate, and sustainable environment.
Loose tomato picking
The advanced 3D vision system detects and scores every tomato separately for “single tomato harvest” functionality. Using its state-of-the-art, unique mechanical robotics, GRoW gently approaches — and removes — a single tomato. This feature offers harvesting capabilities to meet growers’ demands.
Other crops
The GRoW harvesting system relies on a set of parameters that adapt for use with different greenhouse crops. The 3D vision system and dual robotic arms adjust to varying crop sizes and colors and overcome obstacles (tangled branches, poles, wires) for improved performance when harvesting vegetables such as cucumber, eggplant, and pepper, and crops such as cannabis.
Other functionalities. Based on its GRoW technology, MetoMotion’s Cannabis Automated De-Leafing System (CADS) utilizes AI to detect the structure of the cannabis plant and to gently trim leaves from pre-designated areas for zero damage to the plant’s stems.
